Credit card information

Hi Guys,

We have pre paid for an Airbnb for October. The host has just sent me a request (via my personal email) for my credit card details as security.

I was under the impression we shouldn’t share this information outside of the platform. 
Am I required to provide it to them? Im not really feeling comfortable with it.

@Laihcey0 No this is not allowed - The only time it might be allowed is if it is explicitly required in the listing rules but even then it is debatable. If you can cancel for free I would do so now or, if not, call Airbnb and discuss the issue with them.
