Describe the year 2025 as a host in one word

Describe the year 2025 as a host in one word Airbnb Community Center.jpg

Hi everyone 👋

We’re almost at the end of another hosting year, and I thought it would be fun to reflect on how it’s been for you.

If you had to describe your 2025 as a host in just one word, what would it be?

Whatever your word, I’d love it if you could share it below and tell me a little about why you chose it.

I can’t wait to read your words and stories.

@Alex Mi ha sorpreso la risposta di un pubblico internazionale nei confronti della mia struttura. Questo mi ha reso molto felice 😊

Hi @Shahzad15 😊

Thank you for commenting here.

Did you stay in a gorgeous Airbnb this year?

It’s honestly been a great experience with Airbnb. I started focusing more on Airbnb bookings since last summer, knowing that things usually slow down during the winter season but in the long run, it really pays off.

Emilie, thank you creating this space to share , appreciate it very much.  Everything about the experience was uplifting - me and my family moved to the beautiful Kent country side seeking nature and calm, and we experience this everyday.

Our home came with an annex, as a family of 3 we did not use the annex much - first year we gave it out on long term rent which was not less than a nightmare.

This year Feb, we ended the contract with the tenant are revisited our original idea to open the space for guests.

Everything from décor to finding the furniture for the space helped in recovering from the emotional distress caused by tenant. the space regained its beauty, finding our co-host made a world of difference, receiving the right guidance and timely support.

Air bnb went live in July and since then we have welcomed more than  20 guests , it's been a source of income at the time we were financially struggling and  connection with guests was helping me overcome social isolation.

Guests love our space, and receiving the superhost badge did give a real boost to my confidence. For me and my family this creative project started as way to bring in income but it's turned out to be fun, connecting us to people from afar and take pride in our home 🙂 It has helped me to understand money and marketing in the process. .. all UPLIFTING !

Thank you for reaching out and for the warm welcome! I’m new to hosting and recently registered on Airbnb so my journey is just beginning. I’m looking forward to learning connecting with other hosts and growing my hosting experience.

Excited to be part of the community!

Best regards

Dorcas

Welcome to the community, @Dorcas32 - how are you finding it so far?

Beginnings might be a good word to summarise 2025 as a host for you 💡
