First time guest with a bad experience

Hi.  I was told by several people that i should try Airbnb instead of hotel rooms.

It sounded like a great idea since I have two cats who are not used to traveling and I thought they would be more comfortable in a house.

I am sure that most of the Airbnb places are great.  I read the reviews and I was encouraged by what I read.

Unfortunately my first expeeience with a week long stay did not go well.

I won't go into the details here.  It was unsafe and unsanitary.

My concern at this time is that I am waiting for an investigation to be completed by Airbnb.

Much of this will come down to Airbnb determining who is telling the truth, the host or myself.

I stuck it out the whole week to spite the problems.  I had hoped that initially the problems were simply the host was not really ready to rent that particular room out and was over stressed.

However now she is sending me threatening texts because I reported  the situation.

What should I do while I am waiting for Airbnb to investigate this?

I  checked out on Wendesday.

You can flag this with Airbnb @Cynthia1495

can you block the host from messaging you on Airbnb??

@Helen3  We exchanged phone numbers so some of the comunication is on my phone.  This was at the hosts request.

Oh dear @Cynthia1495

then block them on your phone and share the threatening texts with Airbnb on the platform and report the host.
