Hey,
I have a guest that booked 3 nights and then wanted to shorten the stay to only one night. They only decided this on the day of check-in, so I told them they should cancel right after check-in and they will get 50% refunded for the other nights (moderate cancellation policy). When they cancelled after check-in the entire reservation disappeared from my calendar, which is weird, because they are still here for one night. Is that only a glitch or is it always like this? What do I have to do, so that the reservation is still recognized as a 1- night stay?
@Mirco-And-Jasmin0 I would call customer service immediately. Does it show as a cancelled reservation? If so I fear you may have lost all the revenue for the stay.
No I got an email from Airbnb telling me my new payout. I will still get money. I just don't like it that the entire reservation disappeared from my the calendar. There should be an option to say that the guest will still stay the first night. I find this important because I don't think I can review them (and vice versa) as it seems as if they were never here. And also what if they break something - then I can't get the airbnb host insurance.
What did Airbnb say when you raised these concerns @Mirco-And-Jasmin0
Ive never seen this happen when a guest amended a booking
