Hello everyone 😊,
I hope you’re having a great week!
Speaking languages connects us with others and allows us to express ideas. Speaking more than one language is more than a skill; it becomes a doorway into cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. Whether learned for travel, work, curiosity, or personal growth, languages expand our understanding of people and places.
Knowing another language is definitely helpful when hosting. How many languages can you speak?
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
Warm regards,
Elisa 🌻

Hi @Alexandra2281 😊,
that's so nice!
Where are you from?
-----
Hello @Elisa 😊
What a lovely topic. Languages really do open doors and help us connect on a deeper level.
I speak English, Latvian, and Russian fluently, and I also speak a little German. At the moment, I’ve just started learning Spanish, which is very exciting! 🌍
When hosting, knowing multiple languages definitely helps create a more welcoming and comfortable experience for guests from different backgrounds. I’m really enjoying this journey of learning and connecting through languages.
Looking forward to reading everyone else’s experiences too! 🌻

I would love to pick up my Spanish again as well. Are you taking classes?

Hi @Bob297 😊,
Thank you for letting me know, I didn’t know about that!
Where did you learn it?

@Elisa I learned it in Curacao, but only practice it once or twice per year when I vacation there
