Guests just checked out. A towel and wash cloth are ruined, there are small gouges in the interior entry doorway, scrapes along a closet door and paint or something pink on the fireplace that I can’t get out. They also washed something really sandy in the washing machine. I can tell they tried to clean up after themselves, but it left a lot to be desired e desired. How do you rate this fairly?
You can write this type of review: "The guests communicated well and appeared to make an effort to clean before checkout. However, we found a ruined towel and washcloth, sand left in the washing machine, and several instances of property damage, including gouges and scrapes to doors and a stain on the fireplace that required additional cleaning. Future hosts may wish to remind guests to report any accidental damage promptly."
