Hi Alex,
Ive learned a few things that have served me well. People are generally understanding if any problems arise as long as you are quick to respond and try your best to resolve the situation. I’ve never had anyone ask for a refund or write a bad review as long as Im present and helpful. Also, If people have special requests outside of my basic rule handbook I usually try to accommodate them. I think some flexibility goes along way because a small sacrifice for me can make all the difference for a guest. I believe in keeping your space fresh and updated! It’s always appreciated, like changing towels, welcome mats, taking care of your plants and outdoor artwork! It shows pride of ownership and people remark how lovely everything is. I try to remember that people are looking for something special and that’s my goal.
