Nashville Host Group Facebook page being shut down

SO VERY DISAPPOINTED in Airbnb’s decision to shut down our Nashville Host Community Facebook page. With over 1700 members, it is a wealth of information, with local news, events and resources. Four years of resources will ALL go away! There are other STR host Facebook groups but none that are specific to Airbnb. Does Airbnb really want their hosts having to move to platforms that are largely promoting their competitors? (VRBO and direct booking) This group is thriving, with newer hosts being helped by experienced Nashville hosts. I love being able to search it for recommendations for cleaners, handymen, and other resources. It is SO convenient to check in on this FB group as I am exploring other Facebook sites. Airbnb is NOT a social media platform so it cannot provide the same resources that WE ALL love about our FB page. Begging Airbnb to reconsider and leave our group on FB. If they want to get out of the group, that is fine, but don’t ELIMINATE it. Simply appoint local admins so that valuable resources and local information can be preserved!

The Airbnb groups are just changing the platform.

Happened to our group too. And we made the experience, that the active members followed the move, plus at least the same number of new members (who are not on FB) joined additionally. Look forward!

Hello @Cynthia724

All the official Airbnb Facebook groups are being moved across to the Airbnb platform whilst keeping the official moderators in place.  A better way to monitor what is being said?

There is a link associated usually on the old FB group that helps you migrate but honestly, the interface is not as user friendly as FB and not as instinctive to get to.
