Hi Rebecca
Thank you for the welcome message. We are excited about sharing part of our home with Airbnb guests. We have had a few new bookings over the last week for the Tasmanian summer which is pleasing and we are hoping the months before Christmas start filling up. Tasmania is a beautiful place with lost to see and enjoy.
We had a first guests stay last night. They are lovely people, 4 adults and 1 child that is 4 years of age. The only issue we have is that they only booked for 4 adults with no mention of a child. Our unit is set up for 4 people not 5 and that is clearly stated in our Listing. We are not sure what to do or say? There are only 4 beds although the main bedroom has King size bed in it. We have not set up our unit to suit a stay with a young child as it was not part of the booking. Any suggestions as to what we should do?
From reading some of the post on here this morning I noted that we could ask that other hosts have a look at our listing and advise of anything that we may have missed or suggest some edits to our Listing. Am I reading that correct?
Kind regards
Neil

Hi @Neil760 😊,
you can ask other Hosts to critique and request feedback on your listing by following the instructions shared here : How to ask for listing critique on the Community Center.
I am sure, experienced Hosts in the Community would be able to share more advice and tips regarding your listing.
Related to your specific guest situation , feel free to start a new conversation with other Hosts for further advice! I am sure they'll be able to help best on how to deal with such unexpected guest situation.
I wish you a wonderful day. 🌻

Mostly good. I don’t like the payout options. I live in Canada and have a Canadian bank with $CAD account and a $USD account. I charge $USD for the property in Costa Rica but am unable to do payout into my $USD account at my Canadian bank. So I have to pay conversion. Then I have to pay conversion again to send money for management and maintenance of the property. Doesn’t make sense. We site setup for WISE would help but I hy not allow usd into usd account in Canada?

Hey @Michael-Shawn0 👋
The currency you’re paid in is based on the country and method you selected when you first added your payout method. This can be different from the local currency where your listing is found.
You can’t change a payout method’s currency once you’ve added it, but you can set up a new payout method in a different currency at any time. You can check the currency of your payout methods under Payments & payouts.
More info can be found on Change your payout currency.

Starting my hosting adventure on Airbnb feels exciting and a bit nerve-wracking at the same time! I'm thrilled about the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world and share a space that I've put a lot of thought and care into creating. There’s a sense of fulfillment in knowing that I’ll be a part of someone’s travel experience, whether it's their first time in the area or a return visit.

Thanks so much! We are sort of 'new' Hosts. We were up and running in April after a 3 month extensive renovation and initially, and we would not admit to it at the time, there was a steep learning curve. It is great to have Host sites that we can all learn from. Our advise is while you believe you know most everything about Hosting, once you've had one or more of the less desirable Guests, you quickly realize that you don't know everything and is a very good reason for the Host Groups and support. Thanks again and now that we have become seasoned veterans, we are blessed in having the best Guests. That IS what makes it all worth while.

Hello @Michaela439 👋
It's wonderful to see you here and joining in conversations on the Community Center.
This will be a great space for you to get advice from other Hosts as you're starting your journey - you'll be a pro in no time 😍
✨ Ask about your listing - You can ask other Hosts to critique your listing, you could be pleasantly surprised at what other people see!
✨ Advice on your space - This is great for general questions about your space specifically, for example, the amenities that you have at the property to what types of sheets that you use.
✨ Help with your business - You can ask those nitty gritty questions about taxes, payouts and more in this section.
✨ Support with your bookings - Ask for support from Hosts who have mastered the art of hospitality - from reviews, communicating with guests to cancellations.
Let me know how you get on and hopefully we'll see you around soon!
