Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

Hello Bhumika & everyone. I'm Khairul from Sarawak, Malaysia. Currently residing in Kuching City, Sarawak. Our city is a mixture of modern and historical sites and buildings from the Brunei, Brooke and British era since 1841.

Kuching city and its near surrounding heve lots of beutiful and interesting place of interest. We have beaches, hiking spots, hot spring, natural habitat, waterfall and many more especially in our Sarawak Delta Geopark. Kuching City is the home of Sarawak Rainforest World Music Festival and has hosted many international events for the past few years.

You can start your journey from Kuching City to the whole of Borneo Island. We have Pan Borneo Highway to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and good connecting roads to Sambas, Singkawang, Pontianak and Nusantara, the next new Indonesia capital.

Tourism here is booming!

I hope you share some recommendations with me when the time approaches! It sounds like there's a lot of activities to do when visiting, it seems like we won't be short of things to do!

Hello!  I'm Julie -  I live in Southern California and our Airbnb is in Bozeman, Montana.  We love to visit Bozeman for the skiing and hiking.  Our place is just 30 minutes from the slopes.  We bought the condo for our dog in 2020....haha one more crazy thing that happened in 2020.

Hey @Julie5795, sounds like you're a busy person! May I ask the reason as to why you bought the condo for your dog, is it so they have the luxury of exploring the great outdoors? 🌳

Hi Sophia - Well....in the Fall of 2020, our son was moving to Montana to attend MSU and he needed to bring his dog with him.  Since they don't allow dogs on the campus, we had to find him a place to rent off campus.  We had trouble finding a place that took dogs and we didn't want to spend too much on rent, so we bought the condo because it had a backyard for Luna!  After one semester, due to Covid, classes were mostly online and on-campus activities were halted, so our son returned home!  It all worked out because now we have an Airbnb/vacation home in beautiful Montana!  We love it!
