Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Thanks for letting me join the community.  I've been with AirBnB for a few years now with an apartment in Portugal.  Only just stumbled across the community as I was searching for something my accountants had requested.  Seems like I stumbled into something good 🙂

Hello and thank you for welcoming me and my wife as we begin our journey as hosts of an Airbnb. We are from New Jersey and 15 minutes from New York City, Manhattan.

we decided to start an Airbnb because we don’t like long-term leases with the high probability. A judge will refuse to get people out when they become unruly or failed to pay their rent. We’re looking forward to having enjoyable context with our guests and even offer to show them the area if they don’t know the area and we also Provide pet sitting and if necessary.

unfortunately, that is not the fact I did not find a solution and unfortunately, my phone calls going to India are not gonna correct the problem or give me solutions. The people who answered the phone calls from India never addressed the issue and give you hollow promises that they’re going to correct it. along with the problems that I have experienced the site has severe IT problems because many times when you’re trying to get to the main site for hosting to review your messages, you can never get back to that part of the website and then when you do you send messages to the people and then they never receive the messages you send them because they keep claiming that they are going to show up for their reservation when the reservation was declined because of a previous booking. This is a sad reality that unfortunately will become a massive issue for hosting my apartment through Airbnb

My husband and I spend 5 winter months in Māui, HI and the rest of the year in San Jose, CA or travelling. 

I  am looking forward to getting bookings in our condo when we are not here and are trying to figure out how to make that happen.

We are a party of three, two of them retired: my spouse, Jan (also a Host), Sofie (our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), and I, Ron. Although I was born in Belgium, I have lived in several other places, most recently in California, US. We have a home in Corona del Mar (a suburb of Newport Beach), a home in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, and a home in the Commune of Gaiole in Chianty, Tuscany, Italy. We travel a lot, and I love to cook. I love exploring markets for local food items and preparing meals that are prevalent in the region. We love exploring places with unique architecture, art, and music. We read mostly non-fiction literature to learn and grow.

Your passion for cooking and exploring local markets really stood out to me—there’s something so special about connecting to a place through its food. I’d love to hear what your favorite dish is to prepare, especially when you’re in Tuscany or San Miguel de Allende!
