Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘
@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards🌻,
Elisa

Hi @Robin1611 😊,
Thank you for commenting here, and welcome to the Community Center!
I love France, and I used to live there too. What made you move to Brazil?

Hi @Vivian1691 👋
Welcome to the Community Center! How long have you been hosting for? Expanding with another place could bring in more guests. Have you already thought about what kind of accommodation you’d like to add, or are you still deciding?
My name is honeySam, nice to see you here!
Hi @Syed230 😊,

I am Mitchel from Nigeria, new to hosting, and I really look forward to learning from anyone here open to providing guides and insight into how to get visible, host effectively, and grow! Good to be here! Thank you all!
@AlexHi there, and thank you for the warm welcome.
Yes, I’m a brand‑new host and could use some guidance. My first booking was from a guest traveling from another country. After the reservation, I sent the house manual and a simple agreement by WhatsApp and email (for clarity and basic record‑keeping). The next morning, the guest canceled.
My team now says I shouldn’t have shared those files off‑platform, and I’m confused; Airbnb doesn’t share IDs with hosts, and my form isn’t for payments, just details and check‑in info.
Was contacting the guest that way a mistake?
What’s the best, policy‑compliant way to share a house manual and request the information we need for check‑in? I
’d really appreciate clear do’s and don’ts so I can do this the right way going forward.
I’m Jude, host of Cosdarl Homes here in Hebron, Ghana. I’ve been hosting for a while now and truly enjoy creating comfortable spaces where guests can relax and feel at home — whether it’s for a short getaway or a longer stay.
Hospitality is something I value deeply; I believe every guest deserves warmth, cleanliness, and thoughtful details that make their stay memorable. When I’m not hosting, I love improving my spaces, exploring new hospitality ideas, and connecting with other hosts to share experiences.
I’m glad to be part of this amazing community and look forward to learning from all of you!
