Under Overall rating my guest gave me 5 stars. Under Public review it shows - As expected no complaints. She put a period after expected. Because she did this the system thinks this is a website. So on AIRBNB site under Public review it reads - As (website hidden by AIRBNB) complaints. So this now looks like she had complaints to future guests. AIRBNB said they could not correct this. Not happy!!
@Dorothy190 How bizarre. I can only suggest you explain what the review actually said and your future guests will just ignore this aberration.
Not a big problem, actually, in terms of how the review is seen by the potential guest. Just add a response that makes fun of the automated Air BNB action. Remember, the rating is what is important to your rating and your response is an opportunity to show what a great, professional host you are.
@Dorothy190 You could contact the guest, explain what happened, ask her to look at how her review posted due to Airbnb's stupid algorithm, and see if she would mind calling Airbnb and ask them to remove her review if they won't reinstate it as it was written.
A user, host or guest, can request that their own review be removed and as far as reports I've read on this forum, they will comply.
Otherwise, as Linda suggests, just leave a brief, amusing reply.
