Protesters

I recently had guests requesting my home for one night. It was seven people in their mid-30s and the whole thing sounded fishy. I’m writing this to alert other hosts that there might be individuals trying to use our homes for their place to stay while they’re protesting.  I have heard many complaints that the people protesting or causing problems rioting and looting are not from the area in which they’re protesting. Just be careful they’re not using your home for a staging area

@Joanne20 People do have the right to protest outside of their home city, provided that they are not subject to emergency orders against travel in general.

But under any circumstances, a 1 night booking for a large group of people would be a red flag. Most of your concerns would be easily solved by setting a longer minimum length of stay.
