We are relatively new airbnb’ers - we love it ! We have two properties FAT RACCOON PORT ROWAN and FAT RACCOON HAMILTON . We are located in Ontario, Canada. We have recently lost our superhost status with a rating of 4.81 at one property and 4.4 at the other. All told we have 33 - 5 star reviews and 2 bad ones . My question is why are some properties still showing as super hosts on the site when they have a rating BELOW 4.8 ?We have several in my area.( 4.5 EVEN ) I cant figure out the math , just trying to understand the process . We are superhost without a doubt ! Would like to be included in the superhost searches. Can anyone help us understand better for the go forward here. Thanks you. Alvina
@Bob-And-Alvina0 When you look at an individual property for a host that has multiple properties, the rating you see for the one property is the rating average fr that property. But for Superhost, the ratings of all the properties the host lists are averaged together. So the one you see with a 4.5 must have other properties with higher ratings.
Hi there ....Sarah
Ok. I got it. ! Thank you. I don't have enough reviews on my second unit then( is what the math tells me )to overcome that bad review. Good to know .. Thank you . What does level 10 mean ? 10 units ??? Alvina
@Bob-And-Alvina0 The levels shown here have nothing to do with your hosting or listings and don't show up anywhere else.
It's an indication of your activity on this forum. How often you post, how many thumbs up your posts get. Just a social media thing.
@Bob-And-Alvina0 It is also important to know that Superhost status is calculated from your performance over the last year. Whereas your overall review rating is collective of all reviews since the beginning of your listing. So, a host could have an overall rating of 4.2 from all the reviews over the last 3 years, but specifically earning all 5 star reviews within the last year gives them Superhost status.
I have a question. I lost my Super Host cuz someone gave me a 1 star review and her reservation was cancelled by Airbnb. Yesterday Airbnb informed me that they removed this crazy lady's review. Anyway, up until today I had nine 5 star reviews, one 4 star review, and one 3 star review. That leaves me at 4.7. Today, I got another 5 star review. Does anyone know what my score will be when the last 5 star review is calculated? Can anyone please show me the math? I forgot or I'm tired. I'm not sure.
