Travelers deposit

How much of a deposit do travelers pay when they book a reservation for example next January. Do they pay the whole thing now or do they fear deposit now in the balance later? Where are the settings to determine these things

Useally guest must pay the full amount at time of booking. But Airbnb offers also "payment plans" for specific reservations, which mean guest can pay 50% in 2 installments (the first one at time of booking).

None of this can be controlled or monitored by the host.
