Hello,
I've recently joined airbnb and I needed to verify my phone number in order to make a booking. However due to a fault with my mobile network I did not receive any texts containing the verification codes until several hours later (after the network fault was fixed). This means that I have reached the max allowed attempts to verify my number with the message "max attempts reached; please try again later". Can the max attempts be reset? How long do I need to wait until this is cleared? I am currently unable to make a booking because of this.
Thanks,
David
Hi @David7084
Sorry to hear you've been having issues confirming you phone number. Usually the system blocks you after several attempts for the same action and it takes about 24 hours to reset. Now that you have reached the max attempts, you might have to wait of up to 24 hours to try again.
Hope this helps!
This is not helpful at all. I have waited more than a week but I get the same response: "You’ve reached the max confirmation attempts. Try again in 24 hours."
@Nakyanzi0 , host @Patricia2526 has shared a useful tip as well in one of the comments above!

Can you check and see if it works for you?
