Verification issues

I had a 63 night booking that never happened as the guest had never used Airbnb and got stressed and fed up with the verification process. I think they were older and not that savvy with computers. Anyway, I tried to help and send links to assit but in the end they gave up and booked a holiday let not through airbnb. Has this happened to others? Thanks John

@John65 , we had cancellations from interstate due to border lockdowns, so consider youselves lucky! 

The issue with elderly guests and technology isn't a normal problem, I'd be comfortable not to take them if they "got stressed and fed up with the verification process".

That's also a red flag - and even though this guest may have been legitimate, scammers are everywhere and once you are out of the AirBnb loop you are in muddy waters.
