I am, actually! I have more than 10 stays, 6 star rating, and several excellent guest reviews. I'm expecting to find out that I have reached that status any day now. Then, it's on to finding a property to co-host. I've already started speaking with vendors in case it is needed.

For 2026, my hosting goals are focused on long-term care of my home. and connection with guests. 

First, ongoing maintenance remains a priority. Staying ahead of the little things helps prevent bigger issues and ensures guests continue to have a smooth experience.

Second, I’m planning major HVAC duct repairs, which in Florida can really only be done during the winter months. It’s a behind-the-scenes investment, but one that has a direct impact on comfort and energy efficiency.

And finally, I’d love to up my social media game this year. I want to share more about my Airbnb and hosting journey, not just to attract future guests, but also to stay connected with past guests and the wider hosting community.

Looking forward to a year of improvements and continued learning alongside other hosts.

Hi @Rebecca  - happy New Year to all!  2026 updates/goals are:

- refinish our hard wood floors - this is a 4 week project for us, and so it takes our home offline/blocks the calendar, which we don't love but we are so looking forward to the results!!!

- re-vamp all guest communication. We have cut-n-paste-automatic replies for each step of the guest transaction but going forward, I want to re-evaluate, rewrite all content. We have updated all along, but after 5 years of this, I want to take a really critical look at everything.

- re- paint three of our four bedrooms (one bedroom is already done) - have plans to DIY this at the end of January.

Hi everyone, I am so happy to be part of this community. I've been hosting in Airbnb for over 8 years, and LOVE IT! 🙂 

My goal for 2026 are: 

- Do upgrades in two of my properties. This includes: redo backyar space to provide a more welcoming and fun backyard for my guests, upgrades decorations, replace windows, etc. 

- Welcome more new home owners into the Airbnb family.
