"Smart" policies on the listing
Hello Community!
Recently, we came across the listing that looked amazing until these requirements:
Please let us know:
** What is your province/state/country of origin? **
** How many people are entering property under the age of 28? **
** We do require ID's of all guests: driver's license or passport **
** Refundable security deposit of $800 is required 24 hours after booking is confirmed. Payment should be completed before we allow access to the property.**
Of course, the payment for the deposit was not part of the system generated invoice. The host demand that guests send money to them as a separate transaction.
What do you think about such requirements? Good/bad practice?
Thanks.

The host is violating Airbnb rules. It is not allowed to charge a deposit outside airbnb, unless the host is a commercial business renting multiple units, like on a holiday park.
Always such special requirements must be mentioned in the listing, it must be brought to attention of the guest before making a booking.
