Add a Payout Method

Anyone knows why it's insisted recently to add a payout method despite one is a co-host and no payments are made from the owner via Airbnb? Now it's blocking my calendar view. What is the logic behind it? I know the reason given safety and security, but not having a payout method is actually my security measure based on experience.

I did up to the AI response, and since it's not an urgent matter yet, as I will onboard new hosts later on, I have decided to try the lovely community. I would love to understand the reasoning, maybe someone has relevant experience to share.
