Airbnb Travel Insurance?

Has Airbnb now added this option? I have seen screenshots of it at other Airbnb forums, but no mention of it so far here. I can't get to it via my listing since booking your own place is not possible. Anyone else seen this? This is through Generali, Italian insurance company. If so, this is fabulous news.

@Fred13

Unfortunately, there is no travel insurance offered from AirBNB.

@Fred13  this was the original info from April saying it was about to be rolled out but I’ve not seen anything about it since.

I am seeing reference about it from a few other sources now. Could it be?

@Fred13 I see this when I go to book your listing. I booked a trip a few weeks ago and did not have this option. So not sure if it is super new, or only available for some locations / some listings / some users.

@Emilia42 Interesting. Imagine if this serves to eliminate or lessen the need for an 'Extenuating Circumstance' clause. Also, I see the insurance is about 6% ($237/$3800), not bad at all.

This is in place!  Thank goodness.

Zero excuses for guests wanting to cancel for whatever hairbrained reason they feel like (followed by lying to the insurer, instead of trying to lie to me).
