Hi, I’m a Superhost in Amman with a Firm cancellation policy.
A guest checked in and stayed 1 full night. The next day, Airbnb canceled the full 14-night reservation due to “safety concerns.” I was told I will receive no payout — not even for the night the guest stayed.
There is no travel ban, no government advisory, and Jordan is not listed under Airbnb’s Major Disruptive Events Policy. The cancellation was done by Airbnb, not the guest, and it happened after check-in.
One Airbnb agent promised I’d get the full payout. Later, another agent changed the reservation without my consent. I’ve asked for documentation and an escalation but haven’t received a clear answer.
Has anyone faced this? Can Airbnb override a host’s policy and cancel a completed night without proof or public justification?
