Hello - we had American Home Shield and canceled it. We gave them numerous chances and canceled. The issue is this: whenever we needed a repair, an AC unit that stopped working on a hot summer day with 8 guests, a stovetop that needed service, or a water heater that stopped working, again with a house full of guests, AHS was never able to get a repairman out to the house on the day of the issue. We always had to wait about 5-6 days for a dude to show up, typically out of town, without the necessary parts. Then we'd have to wait another 4-6 days for another out-of-town dude to come back. With the issues above, we ended up calling a local service and repairing them the day they occurred, out of pocket. For us, it's a hard pass.
