Hosting in Japan by an Australian

Hi everyone,

I’m an Australian Airbnb host (account based in Australia) and I own a property in Kyoto through a Japanese company that we control.

I’d like to create an Airbnb listing for this property. I visit Japan regularly but don’t live there full-time, so I’m planning to hire a local co-host / property manager in Kyoto to handle check-ins, cleaning, guest communication, etc.

A few questions for the community:

1.  Has anyone successfully listed a property in Japan that is owned by a company (not an individual)?

2.  Are there any specific requirements or extra documents needed when the owner is a foreign company / non-resident?
