Do i need a VV licence to rent out a bedroom in The Canary Islands?

This question was answered a couple of years ago, but I’ve heard the law has changed. I live in La Palma, and they told me at the cabildo it is not allowed to rent a bedroom in the house I live in (my house). I can’t find this information online, maybe someone here can help me.
