I have been asked to rent on a short term basis. 6 mths approx. Does Airbnb offer any discount to the host if renting long term?
As a host you can offer a discount to guests for long term stays (stays of 28 nights and longer), which is set as the "monthly discount" percentage in the listing. I see in your listing there is already a percentage set.
Regarding Airbnb:
The Airbnb Guest Service fee for "long term stays" is a significant lower percentage then the one for short stays, if you are on "Split fee". I see in your listing you are on "Host only fee", not sure if then also there is such discount.
Maybe other host can confirm this.
Hi,
I am aware of the discount I can offer to guests however when I was looking online to see if there was a way to lower my costs for a long term guest (6months) I saw something that said AirBNB offered a discount to Hosts for longer term stays. However when I tried to find this information on the site I have not been successful. I was hoping someone would be familiar with this.
It is the discount on the Service Fee (as i mentioned already) you probably have seen.
The text sometimes make it look as it being a saving for the host.
AI is also presenting it like that....

@Emiel1 Okay perfect. Thank you. So I was understanding it correctly. I thought I was missing something. I appreciate your quick response.
@Emiel1 I found the info I was looking for. AirBnb does offer a discount for longer term guests. Under the Payment section, Under Service Fee it states How it Works, at the very bottom there is a footnote: Typical guest service fee for stays of less than 28 days. For stays over 28 days, the typical guest service fee is 10.6%. Remember , VAT may be charged on the service fee in your country. Thank you for your help.
