I submitted a physical damage claim to Airbnb 8 months ago and still haven’t received a response from the claim team specialist, what shall I do, any suggestion?
I have created 30 plus phone calls with airbnb to escalate this ticket.
Besides arbitration or small claims court, any other good suggestion?

Hi @Mar125
Sorry to hear that you've been waiting on an update about your case for so long.
I've passed your information over to the team, asked them to investigate and highlighted the time you've waited, so you should hear from someone soon once they've looked things over.

Arbitration or small claims court are your best options - why don't you want to consider them @Mar125
I went through Arbitration 3 times and couldn’t prevail , and i noticed drop of bookings largely and suddenly.
i don’t have a proof, but suspect /worry about “quiet retaliation” from airbnb. any comments on this?
@Mar125 if you have failed in arbitration 3 times I wonder if your claims are truly valid or perhaps excessive. Perhaps this is why you have had no response.
let’s put it this way. i prevail in court yet couldn’t prevail in arbitration. looks to me, the arbitration is done in a way very leaning toward to large corporations due to their strong legal team…long story short, american courts are better for hosts..
I’m not sure if UK has different arbitration system, but US airbnb arbitration is done by AAA, a non profit arbitration association and it chooses arbitrator for you. And those informal arbitrations and arbitrators are usually less civilian friendly and they lean toward large corporations. It’s impossible to win on most contract disputes since those arbitrators they rely on “quotes from laws” and obviously civilians can’t memorize those. However, the court trail is different, it relies on common sense, jury agreement and judge’s experiences. I’d say judges are way more helpful than arbitrators. Hope this explains. I think damage claims will be easier since damages are physical and it’s easy to be comprehended by the arbitrator. however, still, i would not go through the arbitration process ever since it’s useless. Judges are different.

Hi @Mar125 ,
Really appreciate you reaching out to us again. But please know that, although we are able to reach out to them, we Community Managers are not an official branch of Customer Support and we do not have access to much information related to ongoing claims.
It seems like the team would have already relayed appropriate information and let you know about your claim request. If you happen to have further questions, please feel free to reach out to Airbnb Customer Support via the contact page.
I did reach out to Airbnb support numerous times and no one has relayed any information to me about this $1156 claim. I was shut down for the previous $1250 claim since the claim team said I used the towels photos were wrong , which is $20. Then i submitted the $1156 claim without the towels and no one ever reached out to me again..i’m preparing the demand to arbitrate form, since Airbnb simply doesn’t respond.
hi.. how are you...
I won't even response their complains after month or two weeks.. specially if you know their ittenary.. you also ned too understand..
1st in a condition of dissatisfaction they will express it under a week.. or as soon as possible..
2nd usually in real complain they will complain in a day or 2..
3rd some people just do it once they arrive back home but not in 8 months..
4th some people do it because they run out of cash
5th some people actually trying to earn money from traveling by hustling
last but not least .. you really have to be confidence at your property.. who Evers, is yours or theirs fault.. proof makes it hard to make thing legit to third party. but constant communication helps a lot in prompt time.
a months is absurd for a complain, I do it with in half hours.. you should try attending clients in 8 months.. and that is not why I got 92 percent occupancy.. even I don't spend 8 months in hospital
