Being Paid as a CoHost

I'd like Your Experience/Advice on Being Paid As A Co-Host Please...

An owner/host of 4 Airbnb loft properties plus 4 long-term rentals has asked me about Co-Hosting her properties during her upcoming 3-week vacation, and I am trying to figure out how to be paid.

There is a cleaning service employed, and maintenance men and plumbers on a list should the need arise. So far only 3 bookings during the vacation dates, which the Host/Owner has already booked.

My responsibilities would entail shouldering the Admin functions of co-hosting in her absence for 3 weeks  so that she can enjoy her vacation.

What would you say is reasonable to expect for my payment?   The host has suggested an hourly rate...I would count up my minutes here and there and add them together into hours, but basically be on call for 3 weeks, during which there may or may not be any major incidents with the guests.  I suggested a percentage of the bookings, but the host/owner feels they have already done the admin work for the 3 arriving guests and it's not appropriate to give me a percentage of those 3 weeks because there may be very little for me to do.   I see it as Insurance, basically, to handle whatever happens and know it will be taken care of.

I would appreciate your insights.  We will meet soon to discuss whether this will be a fit, and I want to have a payment arrangement that is equitable for both of us.  Thank you in advance for your help.

P.S. I was a Superhost myself for 5 years ending in 2019, but did not have Co Hosts, so I haven't tried this path before but am very familiar with guest experience standards and common  requests.

I would suggest a combination:
- a fixed fee per week for being available
- an hourly rate for the work you've done

I agree with the host a percentage of the booking wouldn't be fair as you haven't done the work around securing the booking.

I would suggest you agree a retainer for being available over the three weeks to include XXX number of hours a week and then a call out/additional hourly rate for anything done over and above. @Wendy18

Do make sure you have a contract to cover how this will work, payment terms etc.
