Bookings down July 2022?

Is anyone experiencing a significant decrease in bookings for July 2022? Last July I didn’t miss a weekend, but this July has been very light. I am in south Louisiana.

The new summer release of the Airbnb platform caused a lot problems like a decrease of bookings. You can read about it in other threads.

My booking have also been down this summer.  I don't know that it's entirely Airbnb's new roll out.  There were other factors like high gas prices and inflation that might be making people think twice about travel.

Yes our bookings have been way down since late July.  Very slim in August and only one so far this month!   Not usual for us.  I am not familiar with the new roll out?  Can anyone explain more about it?

Search this forum for 'summer release' or 'categories' and you will find plenty of information about it.

I see lots saying business is down, are you using other platforms?

I haven't tried any other platforms yet.  Might need to do something soon if bookings don't go up.

On VRBO also, but rarely get a booking thru them. I would really appreciate some input on other platforms.

Someone told me that Airbnb significantly raised their guest fees, but I don’t know this for a fact.
