Bookings down

Our bookings have been way down during the month of January and late December. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I thought perhaps I should change to smart pricing. Do people have an opinion about smart pricing? It seems that Airbnb does push hosts to use it

 Thank you!

@Heather124 smart pricing is , in my opinion, dumb. All it does is reduce the price as the stay date approaches. It doesn't even recognise that weekends are more valuable than weekdays.

Our bookings (near Derby) are non existent at present but as we did so well last summer we can cope with a slow January/February. I really think reducing the price will just reduce revenues from those who would have booked anyway.

Thank you, I’m of a like mind. The price gets to be so low it just doesn’t make sense.  I’ve never had a problem with booking, but lately it’s been so slow I thought maybe I’d inquire about it.

Same for us. Our place has been full for almost 9 straight months, then completely dead in January.  We aren’t going to use smart pricing.

Yes we have had bookings also for 9 straight mo.  and then all of a sudden we have none for Apr or May . Why is that ? Are you not using smart pricing because you didn’t get bookings in Jan?  Why do you think you didn’t get bookings in Jan?
