CC&R Restrictions

Anyone have experience with CC&R restrictions in California. The neighborhood, which does not have an HOA, is voting to BAN short-term rentals.  Any legal precedence to be grandfathered in?

Hi @Carl29, Have you managed to get in touch with some local hosts to get more information about it?

If you would like to get in touch with Hosts from SF, CA to discuss it, you may also want to consider exploring Local Host Clubs. I am sharing the link to the SF group for your easy access here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1188827825223312.

I hope it helps!

@Carl29 , CC&Rs typically apply to a planned unit development/condo/townhome and  most of not all come with HOA’s. We live in a SFR (single family residence) neighborhood but we do have a homeowner association (non-binding)  and any donations to the association are voluntary. Zoning codes are controlled by then city/planning commission.

@Bhumika , suggestion is your best bet in reaching out to other host in your area. You also might consider being pro-active and signing up for city council and/or planning commission meetings email notifications. Most of the email notifications will have the upcoming agenda of items that will be discussed. Know who your local representative is on the city council and/or planning commission.
