Has anyone else noticed that we can no longer see the total amount guests paid through the host dashboard? This used to be visible, but at some point it disappeared.
Here are the two main issues I'm facing:
Can't calculate accommodation tax
A new accommodation tax is being introduced in my area starting June 2025. It needs to be calculated based on the per-person payment amount — but without knowing the total amount guests paid, there's no way to work this out. Is anyone else in the same situation?
Can't gauge the right level of hospitality
Knowing how much a guest paid also helped me decide on the appropriate level of service to offer. Without that information, it's hard to make that judgment.
I've already submitted feedback to Airbnb requesting that the previous feature be restored. If you're facing the same issue, I'd love for us to raise our voices together — please feel free to like or reply to show your support!

Hello @Mutsumi5
It's still there but for some unknown reason, Airbnb have changed it's location and we no longer see this much needed information through Messages or via the calendar as before. Why?
So now we have to take extra steps to find out how much our guests have been charged:
In host mode on a computer:
==>Go to the main page where you see Today
==>Click on see all reservations
==>Choose Upcoming or Completed
==>Choose the booking and you'll see what we used to see before and then scroll all the way down until you see Guest paid
How to make things difficult for hosts! Why change something that worked perfectly well before and at a glance?
Haven't yet found where to find this information on my phone as it's no doubt there but hidden goodness knows where!!
LIfe is simple, Airbnb is not these days
Bonjour @Joelle43
Thank you so much for sharing . This is incredibly helpful!
I completely agree, it used to be so much easier to see this information at a glance.
Why fix something that wasn’t broken?
Simple is always best!!
Really appreciate you taking the time to explain the steps!
It's a pleasure @Mutsumi5 🙂
You're not the only one complaining of this change and below you'll find a link to a recent conversation on the subject that I'm sure you'll find interesting:

Merci. @Joelle43
Thank you for sharing this.
It’s good to know that hosts worldwide are facing the same issue.
I really hope Airbnb will improve this soon.
By the way, I have two groups of French guests staying at my place today… it seems quite popular with French visitors haha 🇫🇷
This does not solve the issue on my side.
I have already tried this option, and it only shows a list of upcoming payments with the payout amounts. It does not display the total amount charged to the guest.
As mentioned before, I specifically need access to the full amount paid by the guest for invoicing and tax compliance purposes.
Joelle43; I did that, and at the bottom there is no info for guest paid. I really preferred to see the amounts of guest paid, including the HST paid, for what Airbnb remitted for tax purposes.
Hello @Donna1775
I don't believe it! Airbnb have moved it again since my earlier post!! I've been searching for 15 minutes and still can't find where they have hidden this information. It's so important for us to have this information and can't understand the logic behind this.
I've just made a post on the subject in Host circle so hope you'll join in
I agree with your comment. My husband and I are interested in an Airbnb accommodation in Maryland. This would be the first time using this venue. Why can't Airbnb let us know the TOTAL cost; not just the amount of days stay, plus a tax perhaps. Why won't they tell us what the service fee is. We cannot book something before know a total amount we would spend. We do not want to book, then find out the total cost, leaving us to decide whether or not to continue to book or cancel. This is taking communication not very good.
Hello @Barbara3897
The total cost is now showing for all listings on Airbnb and if you are not seeing a service fee, then it's because the host is paying it so there really shouldn't be any suprises.
Hosts who use a Channel Manager have to pay ALL the Airbnb commission and this is incorporated into their nightly/total cost. Other hosts who don't use one, still have the option of sharing the Airbnb service fee with guests and this amount will be clearly shown before you book but again this is included in the total price.
The price you see is what you pay Barbara regardless of the way the service fee is set up but I see how this may be confusing.
Before you check out, you can see the price and if you click on "Price details" you should see how the total price is made up
We can actually sue Airbnb for this! According to European legislation, Airbnb. and other companies operating in Europe are obliged to show taxes to their clients, particularly Value Added Tax (VAT), as the European Union has strict rules regarding tax transparency, price display, and invoicing. The responsibility to charge and remit VAT rests with the seller, and consumers must generally be informed of the total price, including taxes.
This recent change is extremely problematic. At the moment, Airbnb only shows the payout amount, and the total amount charged to the guest is no longer visible anywhere in the platform.
In Portugal, hosts operating under "Alojamento Local" are legally required to issue invoices based on the total amount paid by the guest, not the payout received. By removing access to this information, Airbnb is making it impossible for hosts to properly comply with their tax obligations.
This is not a minor interface change - it has serious legal and financial implications.
It also represents a clear lack of transparency towards hosts. We should always have full visibility over what guests are paying for our services.
Airbnb must urgently restore access to the total amount charged to the guest or provide an official solution that ensures compliance with local tax laws.
I have also complained and gave feedback to Airbnb. I hope they restore to the old version as soon as possible. They have no idea of the implications!!
Quick update:
Airbnb has confirmed that this change is intentional.
According to their support team, hosts should now issue invoices only for the payout amount received, while Airbnb takes responsibility for the service fee paid by the guest.
They also confirmed that there is currently no way to access the total amount paid by the guest on the platform.
This is their official position after consulting internally.
