I read a lot of topic and like as many people, I am still very confusing about the way Airbnb collect and remit GST on be half of me. Airbnb, as usual, not give any useful instruction and always drop the ball to the local accountant. And local accountant, they sometime don't understand Airbnb system and be worry about how we can trust that our GST was submitted to CRA. So, I decide from this finance year, I will collect GST by my self. I am an Airbnb management company so I have the Corporation's GST No. Who knows how can collect gst under the company? Who is managing some Airbnb in Canada , Alberta? When I add tax payer's information, Airbnb request me about SIN (social insurance no)-that relates to personal income, not my Corporation No.
