Customer Service Quality Decline Since Covid

Customer Service Quality Decline Since Covid

The reason I fell in love and I think the world fell in love with Airbnb, was the many customer service representatives’ willingness to give us added support, a little outside love, unusual and unique to Airbnb unlike other platforms or other traditional business models.

For example, I think I once needed to go through my 80 listings at one time lol and take out a certain sentence from each listing. At that time, a representative couldn’t get off the phone with you and work on your profile for you on their own time and then get back to you regarding an update. I mean that is customer service! Bonus and kudos kudos to Airbnb and why, I believe, it became so popular.

These days, I can’t so much get five of support minutes without getting an email that says we’re closing out your conversation. It’s like everything‘s in a rush,it’s a totally different tone and I worry about Airbnb‘s longer-term  reputation, particularly with hosts.

@Angel252 After reading enough posts here, I’m almost afraid to call customer service if there is an issue with a guest as they might suspend the listing for some unspecified reason.
