Hi everyone,
Forgive me--I'm sure there are lots of threads on this topic, but I can't seem to search this forum very well. I'm from NYC but live in Colorado, now, and I know the airbnbs in NYC were recently largely eliminated, thanks to the mayor and the hotel lobbyists. In my opinion, it's a travesty. Personally, this will affect how well/often i'm able to travel to NYC to spend time with my parents (who live in a studio and cannot host me)...I used to find somewhat-reasonably-priced airbnbs, but now...quite impossible. I don't share a bed well, so hotel rooms are not good for my bf and me, and so...I'm really distraught at this change. It's awful. I feel like it was mostly great for travelers to NYC and for hosts who made some passive income that helped them survive in an expensive city.
Will it ever revive? Are there alternatives to know about? Thanks everyone. If there are other threads, feel free to point me that way!
