Anyone getting any bookings for May 1 onward? In particular if you're in a summer vacation hot spot?
I'm trying to figure out if I'm even gonna stay in business this summer. I'm near the beach. Last summer every single weekend was booked no problem.
The exact threshold temperature to deactivate COVID-19 is still unknown.
It has been "suggested" that the new coronavirus may lessen or disappear when spring brings warmer weather, similar to a pattern seen with the seasonal flu, but there is currently no concrete evidence of this.
This completely untrue, India has had 8,447 infections and 273 deaths to date with over 34c heat as a average across all regions, this virus dosnt discriminate between regions or environment, nobody is safe.
@Pete69 "I ain't worried about COVID-18. I think I may have already had that thing." South Korea has had at least 91 cases of people who were definitely sick with the virus, recovered, and were tested to be clear of it, now have reactivated symptoms and test positive again. And there's nothing yet to show that any one develops antibodies to it, or that just because you had mild symptoms, that you would necessarily have mild symptoms the second time around.
Australia's borders are likely to remain closed to international travellers for a least another year, and travel between Australian states will be restricted for at least the next 6 months. In Sydney, and most of Australia, it's also no longer legal to offer accommodation to anyone other than a first responders and no movement outside your place of residence is possible except for essential reasons.
So, not surprisingly, no bookings now or indeed any time in the future.
@Louise0 , some accommodation providers still operate here in Daylesford. I don't understand how, but they do.
I don't understand either. Stage 3 restrictions forbid any non-essential travel. So, unless you're housing first responders, it's an offence.
