Complete novice here. 

Having seen what GA can provide, this is invaluable data for us.

Can Airbnb be linked with Google Analytics or similar?

Hi @Sally654 your own Airbnb page can't be link to Google Analytics as it have to put some code in the page. I use GA in my own website to let it show the data I am interested to see. 

Instead of that what you can do is use Performance in your Airbnb dashboard : https://www.airbnb.com/performance/occupancy/occupancy_rate

Another option is use Google trend (https://trends.google.com) to search a key word people look in your area. However, if your space is can public e.g. B&B you can use Google My Business to pin your business on Google map and it will show data of how people found you.
