Guest doing many loads of personal laundry everyday

My guests , a couple booked the house  for 13 days. The guests have been fine except they have done excessive amounts of personal laundry several times a day. It’s also my laundry detergent and laundry .We are not sharing quarters, but extra lights are left on all night and I’m not sure how much detergent to supply and is there a polite limit on running laundry. It’s about 24 loads as I am staying in the in-law suite and the laundry room is outside my door. Not a noise issue. What’s correct?

@Heather1498   If it is an amenity that you offer then you can’t restrict it unless you have it mentioned within your listing.  We have washing facilities within our property and provide one laundry capsule per night stay.  Naturally the guests can buy more if they wish.  Some guests use it and some don’t.  You could also switch out your light bulbs to led ones which use far less energy. If you are bothered by lights being left on.  We also ask guests politely to try and be ‘mindful’ of their energy usage given the current economic climate and to try and be more environmentally friendly.  Most guests are understanding of this.

Thank you Kate. I appreciate the feedback.

I restrict laundry use to two loads every week. If you haven't put a restriction in I'm afraid you may have to let it go @Heather1498

How do you restrict this , by putting it in the rules?

Hi there @Heather1498! Personally, I tend to let guests use the washing machine only if the stay is over one week. Even then, I would still restrict it to 2 washes a week. Most bookings were 2-3 days, so not many guests could benefit of this extra amenity anyway.

Thank you for the info. This is probably a one time occurrence m but I need to establish more rules but don’t want to offend anyone. Thank you
