I wanted to share my terrible experience with Airbnb and their staff. After having guest over time flushing wipes, condoms etc down my toilet, this led to my drains clogging.
After spending to have the lines replaced due to the extensive clogging, flooding in basement and damage, I was told that my issues aren’t covered under the Host Protection Program.
Even after my case submission that was guided by their customer service team was met with conflicting ways of making the reimbursement request. I was eventually told that these issues are:
- Prolonged Damages
- Guest that caused the isssued can’t be identified.
-amongst other stuff.
In essence, be careful there policy isn’t there to really protect you from guest damages.
