How much to charge for pool access?

Any suggestions on what to charge for pool access? I have our pool/patio/hot tub listed as an additional charge. I have a guest staying for 4 nights and I’m not sure what to charge for pool access.

@Joseph1741 Why would you not just include it in the price and have happy guests? I feel it will come across as 'cheap' to charge for something like patio access.

Are you serious? Extra charge for using the pool? Do you charge extra for using the BBQ? 

We have been doing STR for almost 12 years and I have never heard that before,

@Joseph1741  If the guest has already booked, it would be a terrible idea to ask them for a fee when the exact dollar amount wasn't specified in the listing. That would come off as a bait-and-switch.

I don't think it's completely unheard of to make pool access an add-on amenity, but in your case I can't recommend it. In your Private Room listing, that pool/patio area is not just an extra bonus - it's your  primary selling feature! With that in mind, you should assume that everyone who books will want pool access, and raise your base rate, if necessary, to cover the maintenance.
