Hi everyone, I have a two new potential units to Manage or Co-host, both owners want me to take care of everything. My question is, which methods is more convenient and secure:
1- Add the properties under my own profile?
2- Have the person create their profile and give me access as Host.
In your experience, what are the pros and cons of each one?
Any help is well received!

The listing should ALWAYS be setup under the Owner's profile/account. You setup your own, separate profile under your name.
After the listing is created, the owner invites you to be a full-access Co Host.
You can then be named as "Primary Host", but the actual Owner still shows as owner internally on the listing. Guests will see your name as Host and Owner as Co Host. If the Owner doesn't want to receive guest messages, they can turn OFF messages in their notification settings. You will need access to the Owner's account to setup scheduled messages and quick replies and create the Host Guidebook as these functions are only accessible through the Owner's account profile.

Thank you for explaining these details and for the articles, I will be checking them out. I asked the question so I can learn more about it.
I am currently co-hosting several units and I have both modalities. About a year ago one of the units I had under my profile the owner decided to withdraw it overnight but I had 12 bookings pending. Since I had another unit just like the one I had the alternative to move the bookings, BUT that other unit was not under my profile so I was not allowed to do so. To save the bookings and my status I literally had to make a new listing in my profile, of the matching unit and that way I could save 10 out of the 12 bookings. Details like these are what make me think and ask questions like these.
Again, thanks for the help and clarifying my doubts.
