I’m currently buying an apartment Inside a condominium which has association . I’m interested in becoming a host and so I can rent my place but I don’t see to figure out how to easily rent it without getting into trouble with my association which on top of that has a secure gate .
Please I need some advices and or tips from those who had experiences .
please and thanks
You can’t. Don’t buy somewhere in an apartment complex that forbids STRs if you want to do short term lets while you are not there.
Find somewhere that allows STR or you could face large fines and legal action, @Cynthia807
I'm afraid it's this sort of stuff that gives Airbnb a bad name, @Cynthia807. Stick by the condo rules, or hack off your neighbours (who, in turn, may be mean to your guests). The choice is yours.
If you want to do STR rentals, buy a place where it's allowed, not one where it isn't. That would seem obvious. If you think other hosts are supportive of trying to "get around" illegal renting, you're wrong. As Gordon says, this is the sort of thing that reflects badly on all hosts.
