I charge separate for my pet fee.

I have had so much trouble with Airbnb adding the pet fee that now I require the guest to pay me through Venmo before they come.   I charge $75 per dog, (limit 2)...and time after time, airbnb would only charge the one fee of $75 even if they stated that they have 2 pets.

I am not sure that they are happy with me doing this separately, but until they figure it out, this has worked out great.  Anyone else have issues with adding the pet fee?

@Kate896  As long as it is very clearly stated in your listing text that you charge $75 PER PET PER BOOKING, you can request the additional payment via the AirBnB Resolution Center.  I have to do this all the time as many guests miss adding their pet when booking.

The settings in AirBnB for a Pet Fee do not account for more than one pet or a nightly pet fee.  It's just a one-time one pet fee.

Yes, it creates issues when someone has more than one pet.
