Insurance Coverage in Florida
Hi,
I'm new to AirBNB and STR.
I'm having difficulties finding homeowners insurance in Florida that will provide a rider for AirBNB (or a new carrier that will cover STR)
The only company I have found is Proper, which is fine until you add Hurricane coverage - then the price is through the roof.
I've also thought of bundling with a separate carrier for wind and using Proper for everything else. Would love to hear from other Florida hosts and how they are insuring their Airbnb/VRBO.

@Jeannette117 I'm not in Florida, but you could check Foremost. It's a lower-cost alternative to Proper, with less-comprehensive coverage.

What did you end up doing? I am new to Airbnb and now I am faced with having to find a new insurance company for my home. My broker is having trouble finding a company that covers any place with short term rentals. I also live there too.
