Insurance

I’m wondering what company people are using in southern Illinois to insure their properties for AirBnB?   Also what all does it include?

Hi @Elisa ,

We use State Farm and they insisted we have AirBnB coverage, which is the same as our homeowners coverage but it was the same as when we used the area for LTR.

After much research I found that AirBnB insurance is more than adequate and even showed the literature about AirBnB's coverage though they wouldn't budge stating they hear about too many claims that AirBnB didn't cover. We pay $150 extra per year for AirBnB. We decided small price to pay  if AirBnB did not cover as they claimed then our regular home owners would take over.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Michele2394 😊,

Thank you for asking this question here.

Have you been able to find an insurance in the meantime? How many properties do you have?

I’m tagging a few hosts from illinois to see what they might advise you on this: @Guy970@Christina983@Mona1565@Saif56 and @Bettye6.

Thank you in advance, everyone!
