Leasing versus renting?

My association CC&R’s states that we cannot lease for less than 30 days. The way I understand it Airbnb is renting not leasing?

@David7813 I don't think semantics will allow you to circumvent the rules.

This issue has already been tried in the courts in California.  The courts ruled that the renting for less than 30 days is for "residential" purposes and so they ruled in favor of the residents and not the property owners association.

Do you have a docket number or the names on the case? I'd like to look that up and maybe use it.
