Have any other hosts had difficulty getting their rental passed through the new ordinance? We are considering hiring legal representation to help us fight it. We have 1 opposing neighbor who has managed to derail our listing with the Board. We are learning that a lot of hosts are having this same issue.

Sorry to read you've got a troublesome neighbour. As it's been a while since you posted, I'm wondering whether you managed to get a resolution to your question? 

It'd be great to hear from you, so we can understand what the resolution was but also to support other Hosts who may have similar questions in the future. 😊

I had heard (probably 6 months ago) that the board has tabled for the 9th time any action on Airbnbs. Did they move on it??

It doesn’t seem to be moving in a good direction. There are so many of us struggling with new homes, having trouble paying the mortgage because we were promised ‘a smooth transition’ into short term rental  opportunity which is now being denied. It seems that board members who live in the more affluent neighborhoods are opposed and are gathering other board members to vote against it. There’s no way to prove the bias. The other members are being threatened with their positions on the board, if they don’t vote against it as well. It’s all political and has nothing to do with our rights or the law. It’s completely corrupt. We aren’t sure what to do. Maybe a class action suit?
