MAT report in Toronto

Hey everyone, 

I asking for support: 

doesn’t Airbnb collect the tax and give it to city or is it our job to calculate that and give it to the city? 

I am confused with this MAT report 🙈

Hope you may have managed to get some information about this Tax topic. I also wanted to share this article which mentions ''The City of Toronto imposes a four (4) percent Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) for stays of 28 nights or less. Airbnb will collect and remit the MAT beginning January 1, 2021, and will provide more information to hosts when this process is available. For more information about the MAT, visit the City's Short-Term Rentals page.''

Hi Bhumika, 

I still don’t understand and they even blocked my calendar and I got a message saying I’m maxed for 2023 🙄

is there anyway we can meet on zoom or in person ? 

I really need help to understand this because it’s my first year in Airbnb
