Would like to start a group with all matters related to hosting AirBnB's on Marco Island, Florida.
Currently their is 'grave' concern with the AirBnB's guests at homes on Marco. A virtual meeting is scheduled for 9/28/20. Please help in our conversation to preserve our private home ownership rights to rent our properties & preserve the peaceful tranquility of Marco Island.
Here are some things I've outlined discuss please provide input to help resolve the issues with guests and preserve Marco.
Enforce current city laws
1. Noise ordinance
2. Canal & no wake zones
3. No parking
4. Covid gathering limits
Most likely a temporary result of COVID
1. Miami persons looking for close getaways
2. Miami a hot spot
3. Flight cancellations & flight restrictions
4. 14 day quarantine restrictions
Post COVID recovery
1. Flights & travel returning to normalcy
2. Vaccine release
3. AirBnB pricing returning to higher levels
4. Elimination of quarantines
AirBnB owners contribution to Marco Tourism
1. Tax revenues
2. Increase the exposure as traveldestination
3. Revenue increase for local business
4. Increased real estate values
What can responsible AirBnB’s Owners Do
1. Point of contact person
2. Strict limitations on # of guests & require a guest list
3.concierge check in check out person
4. Open communication with neighbors
5. Review of Marco laws with guests
